STEP 2.
Replace toggle switch, if it is not functional (WP 0040).
MALFUNCTION
Defective wiring or pump.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
STEP 1.
Tag and disconnect wiring from switch.
STEP 2. Check continuity on hot, neutral and ground circuit between toggle switch box and pump electrical
STEP 3.
Check for shorts between hot, neutral, and ground (WP 0040).
STEP 4.
STEP 5.
SYMPTOM
Pump motor operates, but low or no fuel low is discharged out of the nozzle.
MALFUNCTION
Leaks are present in one of the following: pump, ilter cartridge, swivel joint or fuel hose.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
STEP 1.
Inspect fuel source, suction hose, FDS, and discharge hose for obvious leaks.
STEP 2.
MALFUNCTION
Obstructions in one of the following: drain, fuel nozzle, suction hose, piping, discharge hose or fuel nozzle.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
STEP 1.
STEP 2.
STEP 3.
Check for obstructions at fuel source, suction hose, piping, discharge hose and fuel nozzle.
STEP 4.
If obstructions are found, clear obstructions.
STEP 5.
If problem is not corrected, replace pump (WP 0026).
SYMPTOM
Pump fails to prime.
MALFUNCTION

CORRECTIVE ACTION
STEP 1.
Inspect suction hose, FDS, and discharge hose for obvious leaks.
STEP 2.
SYMPTOM
Pump is excessively noisy.
MALFUNCTION
Pump is not securely mounted.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
STEP 1.
Check the pump to ensure it is securely mounted to the frame.
STEP 2.
Secure the pump to the frame if not correctly mounted (WP 0026).
