WARNING
FDS must be properly grounded prior to connection of any fuel hoses or to electrical supply.
Failure to properly ground the FDS may result in injury or death to personnel.
12. Ground the FDS to a known good ground within 25 feet of the FDS. Either ground cable may be used to
ground the FDS by extending the ground cable from the grounding reel and clipping onto the ground point.
13. Release two cam-locking levers (Figure 6, Item 2) on the pump intake female coupling (Figure 6, Item 1).

14. Remove dust plug (Figure 6, Item 4) from pump intake coupling (Figure 6, Item 1).
15. Ensure a gasket is present in the intake coupling (Figure 6, Item 1), and position the suction hose (Figure 6,
Item 3) for connection.
16. Insert the suction hose male coupling into the pump intake female coupling (Figure 7, Item 2).
17. Push down cam-locking levers (Figure 7, Item 1) on pump intake female coupling (Figure 7, Item 2) to secure
suction hose (Figure 7 Item 3) to pump.
