WARNING
When handling fuel, personnel must take appropriate measures to minimize the risk of ire,
explosion, injury, illness, and contamination of personnel and the environment. Fire safety
precautions and spill control containment measures must be strictly observed. Failure to follow
this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
Leaking fuel can ignite and cause serious injury to personnel and damage to equipment.
Failure to comply may result in death or injury to personnel.
PREPARATION FOR STORAGE OR SHIPMENT
1. Remove ilter shell and ilter cartridge (WP 0015). Set aside ilter shell and discard ilter cartridge IAW
local SOP.
2. Remove all cam-locking dust caps and dust plugs.
3. Open all valves and vents.
4. Wipe FDS clean of residual fuel.
5. Allow FDS to ventilate outside or in a properly vented enclosure or shelter until all traces of fuel fumes have
dissipated.
6. Close all valves and vents.
7. Replace all cam-locking dust caps and dust plugs.
NOTE
Do not install a ilter cartridge.
8. Install ilter shell (WP 0015).
9. Stow suction hose and hose reel hand crank in cargo container.
10. Attach tag marked "Filter Not Installed" to Filter Knob.
