CAUTION
System components are subject to damage from thermal expansion. As the temperature
increases, the fuel in any component will expand. If trapped in a component, the expanding
fuel may rupture seals and cause a leak or equipment malfunction. For this reason, all system
valves should remain open as long as the system is looded. With all valves open, the hoses
will absorb the expansion and protect system seals. If any component must be isolated, it
should be drained or de-fueled immediately to prevent damage.
11. After the required amount of fuel has been dispensed, set fuel nozzle handle to the OFF position (Figure
7, Item 1).

FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM SHUTDOWN
1. Verify fuel nozzle handle is in the off position (Figure 18, Item 1) and fuel low has ceased.
2. Set the toggle switch to OFF (Figure 19).
