Drain Discharge Hose
1.  Fully extend the fuel nozzle and discharge hose off the hose reel (WP 0005). Orient the fuel nozzle at a lower
elevation than the hose reel, if possible.
2.  Position a drain pan beneath the fuel nozzle. The drain pan should be suficient to hold between 3 to
5 gallons of fuel.
3.  Open vent valve in ilter head (WP 0005).
4.  Squeeze fuel nozzle handle. This drains the hose, hose reel and the outlet section of the low meter.
5.  Shut nozzle when low ceases.
6.  Close vent valve in ilter head by turning clockwise.
7.  Remove drain pan and dispose of fuel IAW local SOP.
8.  Install crank handle (Figure 24, Item 1) on pinion shaft. Turn crank handle clockwise to retract hose.

9.
Place fuel nozzle (Figure 25, Item 2) in nozzle housing (Figure 25, Item 4) and secure with mounting plate
(Figure 25, Item 1) and locking pin (Figure 25, Item 3).

10. Place crank handle in handle tube or stow in cargo container.
