Drain Pump
WARNING
The FDS weighs 375 pounds. The FDS must be moved by a forklift or positioned by two
personnel. Failure to comply may result in injury to personnel.
When handling fuel, personnel must take appropriate measures to minimize the risk of ire,
explosion, injury, illness, and contamination of personnel and the environment. Fire safety
precautions and spill control containment measures must be strictly observed. Failure to follow
this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
1.
Elevate the front of the FDS. Place suficient dunnage (Figure 26, Item 2) under the front of the FDS, to raise
the pump drain tube (Figure 26, Item 4) at least six inches above the ground.

2.
Elevate the rear of the FDS. Place dunnage under the rear until FDS is level.
NOTE
The pump holds approximately 2 gallons of fuel.
3.
Place drain pan (Figure 26, Item 3) under pump drain tube (Figure 26, Item 4).
4.
Open vent valve in ilter head (Figure 27, Item 1).
