MANUFACTURING POWER CABLE
Introduction
The power cable consists of two separate sections, joined at the toggle switch. Cable section 1 runs from the
power plug to the toggle switch. Cable section 2 runs from the toggle switch to the pump motor electrical enclosure.
This work package describes how to make each cable.
Section 1 - Cable (Power Plug to Toggle Switch) Manufacture
1. From bulk cable material, cut a length of cable 25 feet long (See Figure 1).
2. Remove outer cable jacket insulation as follows (See Figure 1):
a. Remove outer jacket of length 2 inches on one end. This end will connect to the power plug.
b. Remove outer jacket of length 5 inches from opposite end. This end will connect to the toggle switch.
3. From each wire (green, white, black), remove 0.5 inches of wire insulation.

Section 2 - Cable (Toggle Switch to Pump Electrical Enclosure) Manufacture
1. From bulk cable material, cut a length of cable 5 feet long (See Figure 2).
2. Remove outer jacket of length 5 inches from each end.
3. From one green/ground wire, remove 0.5 inches of wire insulation, approximately 1 inch from the cable jacket
insulation. This end will be installed into the toggle switch enclosure.
