Install Pump
1. Apply pipe sealant to male threads on discharge pipe assembly (Figure 8, Item 1) and install onto pump
(Figure 8, Item 2).

Apply pipe sealant to male threads on the priming port cam-locking itting (Figure 8, Item 3) and install onto
pump (Figure 8, Item 2). Tighten itting.
CAUTION
Incorrect assembly of the check valve (Figure 9, Item 1), in the inlet assembly, will render the
FDS inoperable and may cause extensive damage to the pump.

If the inlet assembly (Figure 8, Item 5) was disassembled for repair, apply pipe sealant to all male threads and
assemble the components, making sure the check valve is oriented as shown (Figure 9, Item 1).
4.
Apply pipe sealant to the male threads of the inlet assembly nipple and install onto the pump (Figure 8,
Item 2) and assemble the components.
