Inspect the source fuel tank output valve to ensure that valve is closed.
CAUTION
Ensure dust caps and dust plugs are installed on couplings immediately after disconnection.
This practice will protect the couplings, and reduce fuel contamination and spills. Failure to
comply may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
This procedure assumes that the FDS has been drained of fuel. However, small amounts of
residual fuel may remain. Place a shallow container beneath each coupling to catch drainage
when coupling is disconnected.

Disconnect suction hose (Figure 41, Item 2) from pump intake female coupling (Figure 41, Item 1). Drain
any residual fuel from hose .
