Section III. UNIT PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES (PMCS)
4-7. GENERAL.
To ensure that the HTARS is ready for use at all times, it must be inspected systematically so that defects may be
discovered and corrected before they result in serious damage or equipment failure.
4-8. PMCS PROCEDURES.
a.
Your Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services, Table 4-1, lists inspections and care required to keep your
equipment in good operating condition.
b.
The "INTERVAL" column of Table 4-1 tells you when to do a certain check or service.
c.
The "LOCATION, ITEM TO CHECK/SERVICE" column of Table 4-1 tells you the name of the item to be checked
or serviced and where the item is located.
d.
The "PROCEDURE" column of Table 4-1 tells you how perform the required checks and servi ces. Follow these
instructions carefully.
4-9. PMCS TABLE.
The necessary preventive maintenance services to be performed are listed and described in Table 4-1. Defects
discovered during operation of the system should be corrected as soon as possible. All deficiencies and shortcomings
will be recorded, together with the corrective action taken, on DA Form 2404 (Equipment Inspection and Maintenance
Worksheet) as soon as possible.
