G-2. SPECIFIC LUBRICATION INSTRUCTIONS.
Intervals (on-condition or hard time) and related man-hour times are based on normal operation. The man-hour time
specified is the time you need to do all services prescribed for a particular interval. Decrease the interval if your lubricants
are contaminated or if you are operating in equipment under adverse conditions., including longer-than usual operating
hours. The intervals may be extended during periods of low activity. If extended, adequate preservation precautions must
be taken.
Dotted leader lines indicate that lubrication is required on both sides of the semitrailer.
Dry-cleaning solvent P-D-680 is toxic and flammable. Always wear protective
goggles and gloves, and use only in a well-ventilated area Avoid contact with skin,
eyes, and clothes, and DO NOT breathe vapors. DO NOT use near open flame or
excessive heat.
Clean all fittings and all areas around lubrication points with dry-cleaning solvent (Item 12, Appendix C) or equivalent,
before lubricating equipment. After lubrications, wipe off excess oil or grease to prevent accumulation of foreign matter.
The lowest level of maintenance authorized to lubricate a point is indicated in parentheses by use of the following: (0) Unit
maintenance.
