TM5-4930-237-10 CHAPTER 3 OPERATOR MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS Section I. LUBRICATION   INSTRUCTIONS No lubrication is required for operation of this equipment. Section  II.  TROUBLESHOOTING  PROCEDURES 3-1. General. This manual cannot list all malfunctions that may occur, nor all tests or inspections and corrective actions. If a malfunction is not listed or is not corrected by listed corrective actions, notify your supervisor. 3-2. Troubleshooting. Table 3-1 lists the common malfunctions which may occur during operation or maintenance of HTARS or it’s components. Perform test/inspections and corrective actions in the order listed. NOTE Before using the table, be sure all applicable operating checks have been performed. Table  3-1.  Troubleshooting Malfunction Test or Inspection Corrective Action 3 INCH DISCHARGE HOSE 1. FLOW HANDLE FAILS TO OPERATE SMOOTHLY. Step 1. Inspect FLOW handle area for signs of dirt or other foreign matter. Clean area around FLOW handle. Step 2. Remove dust cap and inspect interior for dirt or other foreign matter. Rinse in clean fuel while operating FLOW handle. If parts are missing or damaged, replace 3 inch discharge hose. 3-1
