Inspect ground clip (5) for corrosion, cracks, distortion, and spring tension.

Inspect wire rope (7) for corrosion, cracks, and fraying.

Replacement. All damaged parts shall be replaced.

Reassembly.
NOTE
Strip plastic coating from both ends of wire to ensure metal to metal contact.
