TM 5-4320-305-24 3-25.  REPLACE/REPAIR FRAME This task covers:    a.  Inspection c.  Replacement b.  Repair INITIAL SETUP Tools 2-41 Fuel tank removed. Shop set, automotive repair, field 2-45 Brake assembly cables and hoses maintenance, basic removed. 2-46 Springs removed. Equipment Condition 2-47 Shock absorbers removed. Para Condition Description 2-48 Axle and wheels removed. 2-14 Battery box removed. 3-4 Pump assembly removed. 2-38 Tool box removed. 3-6 Engine assembly removed. 2-39 Stop taillights and clearance lights removed. Special Environmental Conditions 2-40 Trailer wiring harness removed. Well-ventilated area required during repair. INSPECTION: 1  Inspect lunette (1), tripod (2), front jack (3), lifting rings (4), rear jacks (5), chain assemblies (6), jack pads (7), and lifting bail (8) for cracks, rust, deterioration, and other damage. 2    Inspect  frame  (9)  for  rust,  corrosion,  flaking  paint,  cracked  weldments,  cracks,  stress  lines,  or  structural  fatigue. Replace frame if cracks, stress lines, or structural fatigue are found. 3   Inspect weld nuts used to mount battery box and tool box for stripped threads or cracked welds. 3-127
