REPLACE CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY, ROCKER ARMS, PUSHRODS, AND TAPPETS (Continued) 10 Install  assembled  rocker  bracket  and  rocker  arms  (1) and nuts (2).  Tighten nuts to 20.65 ft-lb (28 N.m). VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT: NOTE Adjust valve clearance only when engine is cold. 1 Rotate crankshaft by rotating flywheel or crankshaft V-belt pulley    (1)    clockwise    until valve stems and rocker arms overlap.    The  exhaust  valve (2) should be closing and its valve  stem  rising.    The  inlet valve  (3)  should  be  opening and    its    valve    stem    going down.    Both  valve  stems  (2 and 3) should be at the same height.        Rotate    crankshaft pulley  (1)  another  complete revolution,   or   360   degrees of  travel  of  the flywheel or pulley.  The piston should be at the top of its compression stroke and the valve clearance   can   be   checked and adjusted. 3-110
