Remove brake assembly.
a.
Back off adjusting screw (1) in order to relieve tension in spring (2).
b.
Remove spring (2) from shoe assemblies (3 and 4).
c.
Remove adjusting screw assembly (1).
d.
Remove springs (5 and 6) from anchor pin on backing plate (15) and from shoe assemblies (3 and 4). Remove
washer (7).
NOTE
The springs are color coded. One spring is red and the other is orange. Make a note of this to aid
in assembly.
