Allow engine to idle for 30 seconds.

Set START/STOP switch (6) to STOP position. The engine and pumping action will stop.

Turn PANEL LIGHTS switch (7) to OFF position.

Close suction assembly gate valve (1) and discharge manifold assembly gate valve (2) to retain the
liquid in the pump.

The centrifugal pump unit is now in shutdown status, ready to be used again in the same location. If
centrifugal pump unit is to be moved to a new location, prepare it for movement in accordance with
paragraph 2-7. If centrifugal pump unit must be prepared for storage or shipment, contact
organizational maintenance.
