CHAPTER 4 OPERATOR' S MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
SPECIAL ORGANIZATIONAL TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Section I
Special Tools.
No special tools or equipment are
required to maintain the refueling system.
Section II
LUBRICATION
Engine Lubrication Procedures.
Remove the oil filler cap.

Place engine in a level position.
4.2.2
Fill crankcase to overflowing (Pour slowly).

Nothing should be added to recommended oils.
Replace filler cap.
4.2.5
Check oil level regularly (At least every 5 hours).

Engine Oil Change.
Change oil after first 5 hours of operation. Thereafter,

change oil every 25 hours of operation.

Remove drain plug and drain oil while engine is warm.
Replace drain plug.

Remove oil filler cap and refill with new oil of proper
4.3.4
grade.
Replace filler cap.
4.3.5
Air Cleaner Service (Oil-Foam Type).
4.4.1
Remove thumb screw.
Lift air cleaner from carburetor.
4.4.2
4.4.3
Take air cleaner apart.
