Discharge Nozzle Assembles.
The discharge
nozzle assembly may be readily attached to the outlet
end of the discharge hose assembly by means of quick-
connect fittings.  The nozzle is non-automatic and the
lever must be hand depressed to deliver fuel to the air-
craft or vehicle.  A grounding strap is securely attached
to the nozzle assembly and the free end of this ground
must be clamped to the aircraft or vehicle prior to in-
serting the nozzle into the fuel filler tube, to avoid the
possibility of static electrical discharge. Figure 12

ENGINE ADJUSTMENTS

General.
THE ENGINE WITHOUT PLACING LIQUID IN THE PUMP
HOUSING.
This section contains instructions to accom-
plish minor engine adjustments, which may become
necessary for smooth operation of the engine.
Carburetor Adjustments.

has been factory tested to assure proper operation at full
load.  If unusual atmospheric conditions exist or if vibra-
tion or tampering prevents smooth engine operation, ad-
justment may be accomplished as follows:

Close needle valve (turn clock-

wise) then open 1-1/2 turns (turn counter-clockwise).
This initial adjustment will permit the engine to be started
and warmed up before making the final adjustment.
With engine running at normal
Final Adjustment.
3.4.2
operating speed, close the needle valve (turn clockwise)
until engine starts to lose speed (lean mixture).  T h e n
slowly open needle valve (turn counterclockwise) to the
point of smoothest operation.  If the engine tends to stall
or die out, it usually indicates the mixture is slightly lean
and it may be necessary to open the needle valve to pro-
vide a richer mixture.
Governor  Control. To increase engine speed, turn speed ad-
justing screw counterclockwise.  To decrease engine speed,
