4-49. Valve Clearance Adjustment (CONT).
b. Adjustment.
(1) Rotate crankshaft (1) to close valves of
cylinder to be adjusted.
(2) Turn crankshaft (1) in clockwise direction until
valves overlap.
(3) Mark position on pulley (2), then rotate
crankshaft (1) one revolution (360°).
(4) Loosen nut (3) on rocker arm (4), then turn
screw (5) to adjust rocker arm to valve stem
clearance. Refer to Table 4-3.
(5) Hold screw (5) and tighten nut (3).
(6) Check clearance and adjust, if required.
