4-24. Lower Left Hand and Right Hand Side Panels Repair/Replacement (CONT).
b.
Disassembly.
(1)
Remove 10 self locking nuts (1), 20 flat
washers (2), 10 screws (3), six retainers (4
and 5), six spacers (6 and 7), and two axle
seals (8).
(2)
Remove two plugs (9).
c.
Cleaning/Inspection.
(1)
Inspect all sheet metal for holes, cracks,
deformation, or other obvious damage.
Replace if defective.
(2)
Inspect seals for holes or tears. Replace if
defective.
d.
Assembly.
(1)
Install two axle seals (8)
using six spacers (6 and 7), six retainers (4 and 5), 10 screws (3), 20 flat
washers (2), and 10 new self locking nuts (1).
e.
Installation.
(1)
Install six mounts (11), 12 flat washers (9 and 10), six new lockwashers (8), and six nuts (7).
(2)
Install lower left panel (4) and lower right panel (5) on frame (6).
(3)
Install nipple (1) and two nuts (2) on hose (3).
