GENERAL.
a.
This section provides information for identifying and correcting malfunctions that may develop when operating or
maintaining the M969A2 semitrailer.
b.
The Quick Guide to Troubleshooting (para 2-15) lists common malfunctions of the semitrailer or its components
and refers you to the proper subparagraph in the Troubleshooting Chart (para 2-16). You should perform
tests/inspections and corrective actions in the order listed.
c.
If you are unsure of the location of an item mentioned in troubleshooting, refer to paragraph 1-12 or the
maintenance task where the item is replaced.
d.
Before performing troubleshooting, read and follow all safety instructions found in the warning summary at the
beginning of this manual.
e.
This section cannot list all malfunctions that may occur, nor all tests or inspections and corrective actions. If a
malfunction is not listed or is not corrected by the listed corrective actions, notify your supervisor.
f.
When troubleshooting a malfunction:
Locate the symptom or symptoms in the Quick Guide to Troubleshooting that best describe the malfunction.
Turn to the subparagraph in the Troubleshooting Chart where the troubleshooting procedures for the
malfunction in question are described.
Perform each step in the order listed until the malfunction is corrected. DO NOT perform any maintenance
task unless the troubleshooting procedure tells you to do so.

ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING.
a. This paragraph provides instructions to give clear insight to general troubleshooting of wiring harnesses and
components. Schematic diagrams can be found in Appendix H.
b. When troubleshooting any electrical system or component, exercise extreme care in order to prevent electrical
shock.
