Clean lamp sockets and contacts. Step 3. Check affected light assembly. Replace light assembly (para 4-21, 4-22, 4-23, or 4-24). 3. DIM OR FLICKERING LIGHTS. step 1. Check for dirty, loose, or corroded terminals Clean  and  tighten  terminals. Step 2. Check for poor or loose ground connections. Clean and tighten ground lead terminals. Step 3. Check affected lamps. Replace lamps (para 4-21, 4-22, 4-23, or 4-24). Step 4. Check for dirty or corroded lamp sockets. Clean lamp sockets and contacts. Step 5. Check affected light assembly. Replace light assembly (para 4-21, 4-22, 4-23, or 4-24). 4. DIRECTIONAL  SIGNALS  INOPERATIVE. Step 1. Check for dirty or corroded lamp sockets. Clean lamp sockets and contacts. Step 2. Check affected light assembly. Replace light assembly (para 4-21, 4-22, 4-23, or 4-24). Step 3. Check for defective flasher switch in towing vehicle. Refer to towing vehicle technical manual. BRAKES 5. BRAKES WILL NOT RELEASE. Step 1. Check for leakage in air lines. Replace air line (para 4-39). 4-12
