TM 5-5430-210-12 CHAPTER  3 MAINTENANCE   INSTRUCTIONS   (ALL   TANKS) Section I. LUBRICATION  INSTRUCTIONS NOTE All Cam Lever Pins and Lobes should be lubricated semi-annually with two (2) drops of OE 30 engine oil. Section   II.   PREVENTIVE   MAINTENANCE   CHECKS   AND   SERVICES   (PMCS) 3-1.   General.   To  ensure  that  the  equipment  is ready for operation at all times, it must be inspected systematically   so   that   defect   may   be   discovered and corrected before they result in serious damage or  failure.  The  necessary  preventive  maintenance checks  and  cervices  are  listed  in  table  3.1.  Defects discovered  during  operation  of  the  system  shall  be noted  for  future  correction  to  be  made  as  soon  as operation  has  ceased.  All  deficiencies  and  short- comings  will  be  recorded  together  with  the  cor- rective action taken on DA Form 2404 (Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet) at the ear- liest possible opportunity. C A U T I ON Stop  operation  immediately  if  a  defi- ciency  is  noticed  which  would  dam- age   the   equipment   if   operations   were continued,  or  jeopardize  the  safety  of operating    personnel.
