such repair parts are not obtainable through cannibal-
ization, requirements will be requisitioned, with
a c c o m p a n y i n g j u s t i f i c a t i o n , through normal supply channels.

such repair parts are not obtainable from local pro-
curement, requirements will be requisitioned through
normal supply channels accompanied by a supporting
statement of nonavailability from local procurement.

Applied to repair parts (assemblies and components) which

are considered economically repairable at direct and
general support maintenance levels. When the maintenance
capability to repair these items does not exist, they are
normally disposed of at the GS level. When supply
c o n s i d e r a t i o n s d i c t a t e , some of these repair parts may
be listed for automatic return to supply for depot level
repair as set forth in AR 710-50. When so listed, they
will be replaced by supply on an exchange basis.
