TM  5-4320-228-13&P 7  - When engine starts and warms up, slowly open choke. Maintain smooth operation until choke is fully open. 8  - Let engine run at about one-half throttle until it reaches operating temperature. 9   - When  operating  temperature  is  readied,  move  throttle  control to full throttle for maximum pumping rate. If less than maxi- mum pumping rate is desired,   adjust throttle control position to the required speed setting. 10   - To stop pumping without stopping engine, move throttle con- trol to idle position and allow engine to idle. 11  - To resume pumping operation move throttle control to desired speed  setting. 2-11
