The 500 gallon drum has no operating controls or indicators.

OPERATOR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
CHECKS AND SERVICES
2-1. GENERAL.
a.
To ensure that the drums are ready for use at all times, they must be inspected systematically so that defects
may be discovered and corrected before they result in serious damage or failure of equipment. The necessary
preventive maintenance checks to be performed are listed and described in Table 2-1.
b.
Defects discovered during operation of the unit shall be noted for future correction, to be made as soon as the
operation has ceased.
c.
Stop operation immediately if a deficiency is noted during operation which would damage the equipment or result
in personal injury if operation were continued.
