Table 4-1. Unit Troubleshooting.
NOTE
Be sure to read ALL Warnings in front of manual before troubleshooting.
MALFUNCTION. DISTILLATION UNIT OR FLASH POINT TESTER HEATER WILL NOT HEAT.
Carefully lift refractory from top of heater. Inspect for loose
wiring at heater element.
Tighten attaching hardware
(para 4-14 or 4-15).
Inspect heater element for burned, cracked, melted or
broken coils.
Replace heater element
(para 4-14 or 4-15).
If malfunction cannot be corrected, replace distillation unit heater.
