TM 10-4930-242-13&P Section III.  UNIT TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES Troubleshooting is not required for the D- 1 pressure nozzle. Section IV.  UNIT MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES 4-5.  GENERAL. This section contains instructions for performing unit level maintenance on the Pressure Fueling Nozzle, Type D-1, Arctic Service. 4-6.  PERSONNEL SAFETY. Personnel must remove all items of jewelry (rings, bracelets, watches, necklaces, etc.) and loose clothing before working on equipment.  Jewelry and loose fitting clothing can get caught in moving equipment and result in injury to personnel. When  performing  maintenance  of  the  D-l  Nozzle,  keep  in  mind  the  purpose  of  the  equipment  is  to  distribute  fuel. Cleaning fluids, lubricants, preservatives, paint or other chemicals must not be allowed to contaminate the fuel. Operate the equipment after performing maintenance to ensure repairs have been performed correctly and equipment can be returned to service. 4-7.  PROPER EQUIPMENT. Obtain  proper  equipment  before  starting  maintenance.    This  includes  hand  tools  and/or  special  tools,  receptacles  for storing small parts and expendable materials required by the maintenance task. 4-4
