2-9. 3-INCH COUPLER CONTROLS.

Lever Handle (1).
The 3-inch couplers are used to control the flow of fuel to the AFSSP. Turning the lever handle to the open
position causes a poppet inside the coupler to extend and unseat a check valve, allowing fuel to flow. Turning
the handle to the closed position allows the check valve to seat, stopping fuel flow.
