2-10. COUPLER CONTROLS.
Refer to figure 2-10.
Lever Handle (1).
The couplers are used to control the flow of fuel from the 500 gallon drums. Turning the lever handle to the
open position causes a poppet inside the coupler to extend and unseat the drum coupling check valve,
allowing fuel to flow from the drum. Turning the lever handle to the closed position allows the drum coupling
check valve to seat, stopping fuel flow from the drum.
