b. Unpacking.
NOTE
The FSSP shipping container is designed so that it may be retained for re-use for
mobility purposes when frequent relocation of the system is anticipated.
(1) Remove top of shipping crate.
(2) Remove the technical publications envelope that is attached to the inside of the crate and put them in a safe
place.
(3) Carefully remove all FSSP components and packaging material from crate.
c. Checking Unpacked Equipment. To check the unpacked FSSP, perform the following steps.
(1) Inspect each of the FSSP components for damage that may have been incurred during shipment, especially if
crate is damaged. If any component has been damaged, report damage on SF 364, Report of Discrepancy.
(2) Check the quantities and type of each component against the packing slip to see if the shipment is complete.
Report all discrepancies in accordance with the instructions as defined within DA PAM 738-750. See that all Components
of End Item and Basic Issue Items (See Appendix C) are with the fuel system.
(3) Check to see whether the equipment has been modified.
4-6. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.
a. Tools, Test Equipment, and Materials Needed for Installation. The FSSP can be assembled by hand and no
special tools, test equipment, or other materials are needed for assembly of the fuel system.
b. Assembly of Equipment. Refer to the operation instructions in Chapter 2 of this technical manual and place all
components of the FSSP into position.
