4. AUTHORIZATION DOCUMENTS.
a. Components of End Item (COEI) are authorized by the applicable Repair Parts and Special Tools List (RPSTL).
b. Basic Issue Items (BII) are authorized by the applicable operator's manual.
c. Additional Authorization List (AAL) items are authorized by appropriate MTOE, TDA, CTA or JTA authorization
documents.
5. SPECIAL INFORMATION. Coded instructions below are provided for various AAL components. These components
are identified by one of the codes shown below. This code is annotated on the DA Form 2062 in column A immediately
following the NSN.
(A) Item is not issued initially with the Fuel System Supply Point (FSSP). Requisitions for the required quantity listed
must be submitted through normal supply channels.
(B) One Adapter Assembly, Water Detection Kit, is required with each FSSP. Item to be installed after the Filter
Separator, in the main line, to monitor all fuel after filtration and before final delivery.
(C) Unit of Issue (U/I) for three tank assemblies is listed as required (AR) as any combination of the 3,000, 10,000, or
20,000 may be required for the FSSP mission to accommodate the fuel consumption in a given area.
(D) Item is not issued initially as a component of the set. The item may be requisitioned in authorized quantities as
required (AR) only when authorized by the Commanding Officer.
(E) U/I differs from Army Master Data File Retrieval Microfilm System (AMDF). The UA denotes the required quantity
for this kit.
(F) Item shall be issued in one continuous length “only."
