TM 10-4320-343-14 4.14.6.1  Removal. To   prevent   rolling   or   sliding,   do  not  work  on  equipment  that  is  not s e c u r e l y    s t a b i l i z e d. Ensure   both   wheels   are   secure. Failure   to   obey   this warning   may   result   in   serious   personnel   injury. a . Loosen   socket   head   screw   (figure   4-59, 1)   in   actuator   lever   (2). b . Remove   lock   nut   (3),    bolt   (4),   and   actuator   lever   (2). c . Remove   lock   nut   (5),   bolt   (6),   washer   (7),   spacer   (8),   and   actuating   rod   (9) from   shutdown   lever   (10). 4.14.6.2   Installation. a. b. c . d. e. f . NOTE Ensure  that  equal  number  of  threads  are  engaged in   each   rod   end   to   prevent   thread disengagement. Loosen  jam  nuts  (11)  on  actuating  rod  (9). Rotate   rod   end   to   adjust   length to   4   3/8   inches   (111   mm)   from   center   of   rod   ends. Tighten   jam   nuts   (11). Attach   actuating   rod   (9)   to   center   of   shutdown   lever   (10)   with   bolt   (6), (head   towards   engine),   washer   (7)   spacer   (8),   and   locknut   (5). Manually   rotate   shutdown   lever   (10)   up   slightly   from   horizontal. Install   bolt   (4)   from   engine   side   through   outer   hole   in   actuator   lever   (2) and   actuating   rod   (9)   . Secure   with   lock   nut   (3). Tighten   socket   head   screw   (1). 4-111
