Section I. DIRECT SUPPORT GENERAL
3-1.
INTRODUCTION.
This chapter contains some important information that you need to know about the direct support maintenance
requirements of the equipment. This information includes but is not limited to technical support and maintenance of the
various systems and subsystems which comprises the unit.
3-2.
SCOPE.
This chapter contains maintenance instructions for removing, installing and repairing the equipment at the direct support
maintenance level. Maintenance personnel should become familiar with the information in this section.
3-3.
COMMON TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT.
For authorized common tools and equipment, refer to the Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE)
applicable to your unit.
3-4.
SPECIAL TOOLS, TMDE AND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT.
Refer to Appendix B (Maintenance Allocation Chart) for a list of special tools, TMDE and support equipment.
3-5.
SERVICE UPON RECEIPT OF MATERIEL.
Repair parts are listed and illustrated in the repair parts and special tools list, TM 10-4320-342-24, covering repair parts
for this equipment. Refer to Appendix B, Maintenance Allocation Chart, TMDE and Support Equipment and TM 10-4320-
342-24P, Repair Parts and Special Tools List.
Section II. DIRECT SUPPORT MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

GENERAL.
The procedures in this section have been arranged in order in which the items appear in the Direct Support (F)
Maintenance level column on the Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC) which is provided in Appendix B.
