NOTE
This procedure covers the replacement and repair of the accessory door panel
assembly. Other access doors and panel assemblies are replaced and repaired in
a similar manner.
a.
REMOVAL. Refer to Figure 2-48.
(1)
Remove screws (1) and flat washers (2).
(2)
Loosen turn-lock fasteners (3) and remove door panel assembly (4).
b.
DISASSEMBLE.
(1)
Remove retainer (5), sealing washers (6) and turn-lock fasteners (3).
(2)
Remove foam rubber (7 and 8). If necessary, use a putty knife or similar device to remove foam rubber.
c.
REPAIR.
Repair consists of replacement of defective components and minor repair of panel by twisting, bending, etc. Refer to
Appendix D for manufacture of foam rubber.
