a.
Removal.
(1) Loosen two screws (1 and 2).
(2) Push alternator (3) towards engine and
remove belt (4) from alternator and
crankshaft pulley (5).
b.
Installation.
(1) Install belt (4) on alternator (3) and
crankshaft pulley (5).
(2) Measure and adjust belt deflection to 1/4 in.
(6 mm).
(3) Torque two bolts (1 and 2) according to
appendix F.
c.
Follow-on Maintenance. Install belt guard (para
4-31).
