Overloading the  engine  air  housing  with  this  highly  explosive  fluid (ether) could result in an explosion. Check that ether cylinder (1) is firmly in place. The cylinder should be finger tight in valve (2). Inspect cylinder (1) and valve (2) for dents, corrosion, or other damage. Inspect the valve assembly (2) for corrosion or other damage. Verify valve operation by pulling knob (3) for 3 seconds or less. If the valve operates freely but no ether is released, replace the cylinder (1) and test the valve again. Inspect hose (4) for leaks or cracks. The hose should be se- cured to fitting (5) at both ends. 2-53
