This  task  covers: a.    Disassembly d.  Repair b.   Cleaning e.  Reassembly c.   Inspection lNITIAL  SETUP Tools: Equipment Condition: General Mechanics Tool Kit (Appendix B, Section Ill, Pump removed from frame (para. 4-18). Item 1) 3 Fingered Bearing Puller (Appendix B, Section Ill, item 2) Matetial Pads: Rags, Wiping (Item 3,  Appendix  E) solvent, Dry Cleaning (Item 5, Appendix E) a. Disassembly  (Figure 5-1) NOTE Pump components have been partially disassembled in the removal operation. Refer to figure  5-1  to  complete  the  disassembly  of  the  pump. (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) Remove  dust  cap  (1),  gasket  (2)  and  coupling  (3). Remove  dust  cap  (4),  gasket  (5)  and  coupling  (6). Remove priming plug (7), inserts (8) and drain plug (9) from the pump housing (10). Remove diffuser gasket (11), dowel pin (12), setscrew (13) and separate the wear ring (14) from the diffuser  (15). Disassemble the impeller by removing three setscrews (16) and separate wear ring (17) from the impeller  (18). Remove the pump shaft (19) from the engine shaft (20) with a three-fingered bearing puller. Retain shaft key  (21). 5-2
