Initial Setup:
Tools Test Equipment:
• Lockwasher (4) (Item 97, Appendix F)
• General mechanic's tool kit (Item 4, Appendix B)
• Self-locking nut (4) (Item 169, Appendix F)
Materials/Parts:
Equipment Conditions:
• Gasket (Item 32, Appendix F)
• Semitrailer uncoupled (refer to TM 9-2330-398-10).
• Lockwasher (4) (Item 95, Appendix F)
a. REMOVAL
1. Remove four screws (6), eight washers (5), and four self-locking nuts (3) from muffler shroud (2). Discard self-
locking nuts.
2. Remove six screws (1) and muffler shroud (2) from frame (4).
