2-25. OPERATING FIRE EXTINGUISHER EQUIPMENT.
a. Operating Portable Fire Extinguisher.

Pull front latch (1) and release front clamp (7) on mounting bracket (2).
Remove fire extinguisher (4) from mounting bracket (2).
Break wire and pull out pin (5).
Pull horn (6) up to level position.
Take fire extinguisher (4) as close as possible to fire and point horn (6) directly at base of flames.
Press down and hold trigger (3) to release fire extinguisher (4) contents.
Tag fire extinguisher (4) with word EMPTY.
