TM  5-5430-218-13 CHAPTER  1 INTRODUCTION Section I - GENERAL INFORMATION 1-1. SCOPE a. Type of Manual. This  operation  and  maintenance  manual  includes  operator,  unit  and  intermediate direct support maintenance of a 3,000 gallon collapsible fuel tank. b. Model Numder and Equipment Name. Tank, Fabric, Collapsible, 3,000 Gallon. c. Purpose of Equipment.  The 3,000 gallon tank is a collapsible fabric container designed to store petroleum-based  fuels.  The  collaspible  is  intended  for  use  as  a  fuel  storage  container  when  small capacity  quick  storage  facilities  are  needed,  and  where  permanent  fuel  storage  facilities  are  not available. The tank will be used to store fuel that is off loaded from shipping tankers and then used to  dispense  fuel  to  support  operations.  The  tank  is  primarily  used  in  quick-response  deployment operations. d.    Special  Limitations  Equipment. Tank fittings are made of aluminum alloy and can easily be damaged. Special care should be taken when handling tank components during assembly and disassembly. 1-2. MAINTENANCE  FORMS, RECORDS  AND  REPORTS. Department of the Army forms and procedures used for equipment maintenance will be those prescribed by DA PAM 738-750, The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS). 1-3. REPORTING EQUIPMENT IMPROVEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS (EIR’S). If the 3,000 gallon tank needs improvement, send an EIR. Users, should report problems with the equipment  design,  or  performance.  Mail  an  SF  368  (Quality  Deficiency  Report)  to:  Commander,  US  Army Aviation  and  Troop  Command,  ATTN:  AMSAT-I-MDO  4300  Goodfellow  Boulevard,  St.  Louis, MO 63120-1798.
