TM 5-4320-308-13 Table 2-1.  Operator's Controls and Indicators - Continued Key Control or Indicator Function 2 Throttle control hand Controls engine speed.  With the hand lever in START position, lever the engine is at highest operating speed.  By moving the lever between START and STOP, the desired engine speed can be obtained. 3 Fuel primer lever Mechanically connected to fuel lift pump. Used to prime engine by forcing fuel from fuel tank into fuel system. 4 Extra fuel button Provides more fuel to engine during starting. Pulling button out allows more fuel to engine.  Button returns to normal position when engine reaches operating speed. 5 Decompression lever Controls engine compression.  Lever is placed in decompression position during engine starting and returns to compression when engine reaches operating speed. 6 3-way valve Controls fuel to fuel lift pump.  With the handle in UNIT TANK position, fuel is delivered to the fuel lift pump from the fuel tank. By moving the handle to the AUX position, an alternate fuel sup- ply can be used.  When the handle is in the OFF position, fuel supply is shut off. 2-2
