TM 5-4320-305-24 2-45.  REPLACE/REPAIR WHEEL BRAKES (Continued) 19 Remove cylinder cover (1) and filler cap (2) from master cylinder (3). 20 Fill master cylinder (3) with brake fluid. BLEEDING HYDRAULIC LINES: 1 Install bleeder hose onto bleeder valve (4) located on wheel cylinder (5). 2 Submerge loose end of bleeder hose into brake fluid contained in a clear glass container. 3 Pull breakaway lever (6) using a smooth stroke.  Watch for bubbles to rise in fluid in glass container. CAUTION During bleeding, never allow fluid level in master cylinder to fall below half full. 4 Continue to operate the breakaway lever (6) until bubbles no longer rise to the surface. 5 Close bleeder valve (4). 6 Remove bleeder hose. 7 Fill master cylinder (3) with brake fluid. 8 Repeat steps a through g for other wheel cylinder. 9 Install filler cap (2) and cylinder cover (1). 2-181
