TM 5-4320-305-24 2-44.  REPLACE/REPAIR TRAILER BRAKE (Continued) 13 Remove 14 bearings (1) from inner slide assembly. 14 Remove push rod block (3) from inner slide assembly (2). INSPECTION/REPAIR: 1 Inspect  master  cylinder  for  signs  of  leaking  brake  fluid,  broken  seals,  damaged  threads,  or  damaged  casing. Inspect rubber boot for cracking.  Replace if damaged. 2 Inspect gasket and weather seal for cracking.  Replace if damaged. 3 Inspect front roller bolt, two main roller pins, and two front roller pins for signs of uneven wear, burrs, or cracks. Replace if damaged. 4 Inspect push rod block for warpage, bending, or cracks.  Replace if damaged. 5 Inspect  two  dampers  for  signs  of  uneven  wear  at  pin  bores.    Inspect  damper  sliding  rods  for  scoring  or  pitting. Replace if damaged. 6 Inspect all nuts, bolts, lockwashers, and cotter pins for cracks, damaged threads, or severe corrosion.  Replace if damaged. 7 Inspect 14 bearings for uneven or heavy wear.  Replace if damaged. 2-166
