2-39. REPLACE/REPAIR TAILLIGHTS AND CLEARANCE LIGHTS

Well-ventilated area required for cleaning.
REMOVAL:
NOTE
Disconnect intervehicular connector from towing vehicle.
1 Remove two mounting screws (1) and taillight lens
(2).
2 Remove taillight bulbs (3) and set aside.
3 Remove taillight J4) by removing two nuts (5) and two
lockwashers (6) on in- side of frame assembly (7).
4 Tag and disconnect taillight wires (8) from trailer
wiring harness (9) at connectors (10).
5 Remove two mounting screws (11) and lens (12) from
clearance lights (14).
6 Remove two bulbs (13) from clearance light (14) and
set aside.
7 Remove each clearance light (14) by re- moving
machine screw (15), lockwasher (16), and nut (17).
8 Tag and disconnect clearance light wire (18) from
trailer wiring harness (9) at connectors (19).
