TM 5-4320-305-10 2-7. PREPARATION FOR MOVEMENT (Continued) I. Be sure that battery box assembly (1) and tool box (2) are closed securely. Section IV.  OPERATION UNDER UNUSUAL CONDITIONS 2-8. OPERATION IN EXTREME COLD a. Use proper engine oil for cold weather, Refer to paragraph 3-1. WARNING Ether is highly flammable.  Do not use near sparks or open flames.  Do not inhale fumes.  Do not actuate  ether  start  kit  more  than  once.    Overloading  the  engine  air  housing  with  this  highly explosive fluid (ether) could result in an explosion. b. Use  ether  start  kit  to  help  start  the  engine in extremely cold temperatures.  The ether cylinder (1) is   located   on   the   right   side   of   the   control   panel assembly.  The control knob (2) is located at the neck of the cylinder. (1) Just   before   starting   engine,   push   in and release the ether cylinder control knob.  This will inject a small amount of ether into the engine air intake. (2) If engine does not start, do not use the ether   start   kit   again   until   all   fumes have    evaporated;    wait    at    least    5 minutes. 2-77
