Visually  inspect  all  frame  welds  for  cracks.  Inspect only those welds that can be seen without dis- assembly. Check  that  warning  plates  (2),  identification  plate  (4), and  throttle  plate  (5)  can  be  read. Check visible areas of rails (6 and 7) for corrosion and damage. Check  shock  mounts  (8)  for  splitting. Check that cranking handle (9) is securely attached to  the  frame.  Check  cranking  handle  (9)  for  corrosion or  damage. Check  for  indications  of  corrosion  in  areas  between all mated parts. Check  condition  of  paint.  Paint  shall  be  in  good I condition  with  no  bare  metal  or  corrosion.
