c . Description, Column 3. T h i s column indicates the Federal

i t e m name and any additional description of the item required. The

a b b r e v i a t i o n " w / e " , when used as a part of the nomenclature, indi-

cates the Federal stock number includes all armament, equipment,

a c c e s s o r i e s , and repair parts issued with the item. A part number

o r other reference number is followed by the applicable five-digit

F e d e r a l supply code for manufacturers in parenthesis. The physical

s e c u r i t y classification of the item is indicated by the parenthetical

entry repair parts quantities included in kits, sets, and assemblies

a r e shown in front of the repair part name.

d . U n i t of Measure (u/m), Column 4. A 2 character alphabetic

a b b r e v i a t i o n indicating the amount or quantity of the item upon

w h i c h the allowances are based, e.g., ft, ca, pr, etc.

e . Quantity Incorporated in Unit, Column 5. This column indi-

c a t e s the quantity of the item used in the functional group or the

assembly group. A "V" appearing in this column in lieu of a

q u a n t i t y indicates that a definite quantity cannot be indicated

(e.g., shims, spacers, etc.).

f . Q u a n t i t y Furnished With Equipment, Column 6. This column

i n d i c a t e s the quantity of an item furnished with the equipment.
