c. Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair.
a. Removal. Refer to paragraph 6-2 and remove
(1) Clean all parts with cleaning solvent PD-
the intermediate housing.
680. Dry thoroughly.
b. Disassembly.
(2) Inspect parts for cracks, breaks, damaged
threads, and other damage. Inspect bearing for free and
(1) Remove retaining ring (30, fig. 6-1) pull

(3) Replace bearing if any roughness  is
detected, replace oil seals.

(4) Rechase threads or replace hardware as
needed.
(3) Remove oil seal (24) from intermediate
housing (35)
(5) Inspect the shaft and coupling splines.
